A terrace of your own, with your own pool and hot tub
The Mirror House Villa is the most complete place to stay at Cork Valley. It sits on a private terrace that opens onto the holm oak wood, with the Montes de Toledo behind it, and on that terrace there are two things you share with nobody: a pool of your own and a wood-fired Nordic hot tub. No shifts, no timetables, no waiting for anything to come free.
The facade is made of mirror panels. From outside the house gives back the holm oaks and all but disappears into the wood; from inside the glass runs unbroken and the landscape comes in whole. The bed faces the valley, so you wake up with the countryside in front of you without getting out of it. And it is angled so that it cannot be seen from the neighbouring houses: the privacy is complete.
A day here has a rhythm of its own. In the morning the pool gets the sun full on; at midday, the shade of the holm oaks and the sun loungers; at dusk, the hot tub lit with wood, facing the sunset; and at night, the sky. Cork Valley is a certified Starlight Destination, so from the terrace, with the lights off, the sky looks the way it hardly looks anywhere any more.
It is a house for two, adults only, made for anniversaries, birthdays and the kind of break where you do not want to share anything. Your dog can come: it sleeps inside with you and has a pool of its own on the estate. And you still have the 100 m² saltwater infinity pool, open 24 hours.
