A proposal is not made memorable by what it costs. It is made memorable by being impossible to repeat. A shared balloon flight with twelve strangers is not that. This is: the balloon flies for the two of you only, the pilot knows exactly what is about to happen, and everybody else’s job is to make sure you have nothing to think about.
You fly at dawn, when the air is still and the light turns the Tagus and the old city of Toledo gold. It is the hour when the photographs take themselves.
What is included
- A private hot air balloon flight over Toledo at sunrise, just the two of you and the pilot.
- One night at Cork Valley, an adults-only rural retreat in the Montes de Toledo.
- Return transfer from Madrid or Toledo.
- Planning the moment, agreed with you in advance and rehearsed with the pilot.

How the day runs
- The evening before. We collect you in Madrid or Toledo and bring you to Cork Valley. A quiet dinner and an early night, because the balloon starts early.
- Before dawn. Transfer to the launch field. The balloon is inflated in front of you, which is half the show.
- The flight. Lift-off with the first light and a flight over Toledo. At the moment you have agreed, the pilot steps back and the balloon goes quiet.
- Afterwards. Back to Cork Valley, breakfast, and the whole day ahead of you with nowhere to be.
If you want it to be a complete surprise, we arrange everything with you and the other person knows nothing until the last minute. That is what almost everyone does.
Where it is
Cork Valley is in Hontanar, in the Montes de Toledo, 55 km from Toledo and 130 km from Madrid. The return transfer from either city is included, so there is no rental car and no driving in the dark.

How much does a proposal package in Spain cost?
€5,000 for two people. That covers the private balloon flight over Toledo, one night at Cork Valley and the return transfer from Madrid or Toledo.
Is the balloon really private?
Yes. It is not a shared flight: the whole balloon is reserved and flown once that day. The only other person on board is the pilot.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Balloons depend on the wind, so the pilot makes the call that morning. If it is not flyable, we move the date. That is why it is worth booking with room to spare rather than on your only day in Spain.
Can you help me keep it a secret?
That is the normal way. We plan it with you in advance and keep everything out of sight.
Can we stay longer?
Yes. The package includes one night; any extra nights are booked separately at corkvalley.es.
