Cork Valley is a private 70-hectare estate in the Montes de Toledo with a dozen separate units, set apart from one another and facing the landscape, not other houses. There are no corridors, no neighbours on the other side of the wall, no entertainment programme and no public address system. There are centuries-old holm oaks, a herd of horses that comes and goes as it pleases, and a house that is yours alone from five in the afternoon until one the following day.
It is adults only. And it is the place people come to precisely so as not to run into anyone.

Cork Valley holds Starlight Destination certification, an award given to places with an exceptional quality of night sky. With no light pollution around, on a clear night you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye from the terrace or from the water of the hot tub.
Nobody else is going to be looking at that sky from the same spot. That is the idea.

Is it really private?
Yes. Each unit is a separate house on a 70-hectare estate, set apart from the others and facing the landscape. The common areas are optional: you can spend the whole stay without crossing paths with anyone.
The walls are glass. Can people see in?
The Mirror Houses have a mirrored facade, curtains inside and a west-facing aspect, towards open country. They are set apart from the other houses, so there is nobody in front of you. Most people never draw the curtains.
Are children allowed?
No. The minimum age to stay at Cork Valley is 16, in every unit and all year round. More detail on adults-only accommodation.
How far is it from Madrid?
130 km from Madrid and 59 km from the city of Toledo. You get here on the A-42 and the CM-4157. If you come by train, the Toledo high-speed station is the closest.
Do we have to share the pool?
The infinity pool is shared, but with a dozen units across 70 hectares it is rarely busy, and it is open 24 hours. Some Mirror Houses also have a pool of their own.
Can we bring the dog?
Yes. Cork Valley is pet friendly and your dog can be with you in the unit and in every common area. The details are on pet-friendly accommodation.
