You spend the visit with the people who make the wine. Walk the vineyard, planted at 900 to 1,000 metres among holm oaks, step into the winery and the barrel room, and finish with a guided tasting of four of the estate's wines.
No coaches, no shared groups, no timetable. We pick you up at Cork Valley in our own car, with our own chauffeur, drive you to the estate and bring you back, so all you have to think about is the wine and the landscape.

How to do it
The visit and tasting are the same; you choose how to get there.

Make a day of it (optional)
These activities are not included in the winery visit. If you would like any of them, we arrange them separately.
A Vino de Pago estate
Vino de Pago is the highest tier of quality wine in Spain: wines made only from grapes grown on a single estate that holds its own Protected Designation of Origin. There are only a handful in the whole country, and one of them is right next door.
- ✓Altitude. The vineyard sits at 900 to 1,000 metres; cool nights give fresh, aromatic wines.
- ✓French varieties. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Viognier, planted in the late 1990s.
- ✓Crafted wines. Aged in French oak barrels, with advice from Bordeaux winemakers.
- ✓Known abroad. Most of the estate's wine is exported to Europe and Asia.

Cabañeros, next to the winery
The estate lies on the edge of Cabañeros National Park, one of the best places in Europe to see Mediterranean wildlife. Hundreds of red deer graze its open grasslands dotted with holm oaks, and black vultures and Spanish imperial eagles are a common sight overhead.
If you like, you can add a private 4x4 safari through the park as an optional extra. In autumn you can hear the red deer rut from the track.

Make a weekend of it
If you are staying longer, pair the wine with one of our walks in the Montes de Toledo.
Cork Valley has seven kinds of accommodation for two, from the Timber Cabin to the Mirror House Villa with private pool, hot tub and sauna. Adults only and dog friendly. For more ideas, see things to do near Toledo.
