Working remotely in the middle of 70 hectares
Working from a cabin with the holm-oak woodland in front of you and nobody around, 130 km from Madrid. No noisy cafe, no coworking space, no neighbours. There is just one thing to know before you come: what the connection is really like. Let us start there.
The connection, without the gloss
We are in the middle of the Montes de Toledo. Fibre does not reach here, so the internet comes by satellite, via Starlink, and there is also a second wireless connection as a backup.
What that means in practice, put plainly:
- Video calls, email, shared documents and browsing all work fine. That is normal use for almost anyone working on a laptop.
- Satellite latency is a little higher than fibre. You notice it in competitive gaming and in very demanding remote connections, not in a work meeting.
- Uploading very large files every day — raw video, big backups — is slower than in an office with fibre.
If your work depends on something specific, write to us before booking and we will tell you whether this works for you. We would rather lose a booking than have you arrive and find you cannot work.

Where you work
Inside the unit there is a comfortable desk and chair for a laptop: you can do a full day without ending up with a twisted back. The windows are floor to ceiling, so you work with the woodland in front of you and natural light all day.
Outside you have your private terrace, the saltwater infinity pool open all year round and 70 private hectares to walk in between meetings. The estate is only for the guests staying that night, and there are not many of us.
Every unit has an equipped kitchen, a full bathroom and independent heating and cooling. We run on 100% photovoltaic energy.
The same sky gives you the wifi and the Milky Way
Literally. The connection comes down from a satellite, and when you close the laptop that same sky is the argument: Cork Valley is a certified Starlight Destination, an accreditation that measures how dark the sky actually is. On a clear night the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye from the terrace.
And by day the estate has other inhabitants: horses that live loose across the 70 hectares, deer and birds of prey. In autumn, the deer rut.

Long stays
We have weekly and monthly rates. It is not the nightly price multiplied out: if you stay to work for several weeks, the maths is different.
The terms depend on the category of unit and the time of year, so write to us with your dates and we will send you a fixed price.
